We are pleased to have the daily service of the Greyhound Bus from Union Station in Denver at 11:00am daily and Idaho Springs at 12:00 arriving in Winter Park at 1:00.

The return schedule departs Winter Park 6:15pm arriving in Denver at 8:00pm

Once you enter Downtown Winter Park, continue to drive past the 2nd stop light and then proceed 2 blocks and make a left on Rosie's Way. Winter Park Chateau is in your view and located at the corner of Rosie's Way and Lions Gate Drive.

Travelling to Winter Park is a cinch! Just an hour and a half from Denver Airport via Interstate 70 and scenic Highway 40, (exit 232) at Empire, and drive 26 miles through the mountains to Downtown Winter Park. The wonderfully scenic ride is part of the experience. Shared shuttle or private car service is also a great choice for those wanting to lay back and take in the views. While the drive over Berthoud Pass en route to Winter Park can be a little intimidating to those unaccustomed to Winter mountain driving conditions, an alternative is always the Amtrak train service. Winter Park is also a short train ride from Denver, and the local Amtrak station (WIP) is only minutes from the property with complimentary shuttle service from the station.

California Zephyr is the Amtrak service that operates year round.

Amtrak offers twice daily service to Winter Park train stop (WIP) anywhere from Chicago to California.

The Amtrak California Zephyr is the perfect transportation for your ski vacation in order to get to Winter Park, with ease. The views on the way alone are worth the trip. The whole family will enjoy a unique and fun-filled time on a getaway summer or winter.

Many who take a trip on the California Zephyr say it is one of the most beautiful trips in the US. You climb up through the Rocky Mountains, watching the spectacular wonders of these snow-capped peaks, you'll marvel at amenities available to you on train travel such as this. On-board activities include movies, complimentary snacks, games with prizes and much more. You'll hear announcements that will inform you of the time and location of each event.

Amtrak schedules change so you should contact Amtrak for the current times of departures. From Chicago you'll leave in the afternoon and reach Winter Park the next morning. If you leave from the West Coast, you'll leave in the morning hours and reach Winter Park by the next afternoon.
