Winter Park Resort Closes this weekend

Looks like the summer/fall season is coming to a close. This is the last weekend that the Winter Park Resort will be opened until Winter. The resort closes annually to prepare for the Winter ski season and will not reopen until November 15th. But, in the mean time there are lots of things going on and totally worth the time and effort to visit Winter Park Chateau. As the Aspens are starting to change colors, the mountains are beautiful! The tundra is turning green and the drive is lovely.
Hunting season just opened up with lots of places in the area to view wild life. Rocky Mountain National Park is also open allowing a beautiful drive throughout the forest. Fly fishing is a favorite activity still available as well as cycling on the hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails.
Please call and ask about any specials we are offering for multi-night stays.

Another exciting Weekend at Winter Park Chateau

Looks like it will be another adventure packed weekend here in Winter Park. Two huge events are rockin’ Winter Park & The Fraser Valley this weekend, August 15 – 17! The Salute to American Veterans Rally & Festival and 103.5 The Fox HawgFest return to Winter Park & The Fraser Valley, for one spectacular summer weekend. The Salute to American Veterans Rally and Festival remembrance ceremony will be held at Hideaway Park on August 15–17 to honour past veterans as well as active duty soldiers with a military parade, military guest speakers, live music and flyovers. This event is free to the public and just a few minutes walk from Winter Park Chateau. The HawgFest concert will be held at the resort with free shuttle service & pick up right in front of the property. We are proud to announce that Winter Park Chateau's famous corvette will be participating in the Veterans parade and will be carrying a local celebrity. Pictures will follow after the event.

What a fun packed weekend we have in store at Winter Park Chateau. Located in the heart of Downtown, our guests are taking advantage of walking to the Colorado arts and crafts fair which is happening this weekend. They are also walking to Hideaway Park where Fraser River Days is taking place. We are going to the Parade of Homes and then Greg is going to take a fly fishing lesson at Fraser Pond. Should be back to serve cocktails and afternoon appetizers.
